Captain Slow
I am currently leasing my FRS; my lease is up in April of 2016. 2 weeks ago I came out from Meijer and saw that someone had hit their door hard into my passenger's side. It left a noticeable dent and crease almost all the way down the passenger's side door. It's not SUPER noticeable, but you can see the light distortion if you look at it right.
I took it to a local paintless dent repair place, and they were able to get it a little better, but it's still noticeable. I asked how much it would take to fully fix it, and they said about $300-$350.
My question is this...would I get penalized for this when I turn in the lease an amount greater than the $300 it'd take to fix it? There is no paint damage, but the door will need to be disassembled to fully fix the damage (there is a brace inside the door structure that is preventing the guy from using his tools without taking the door apart). I just want to know if it's in my best interest to get it taken care of, or if it would be considered, "normal wear and tear".
Thank you for any advice!
