LCD or PLASMA?

I'm Looking at buying a new flatscreen and cant decide what to go with. I'm looking for a 46''-50''. Whats better Lcd or Plasma? Thanks for any info. kevin
 
i myself perfer a lcd but i dont think you can go wwrong with either, if it were me id get a sharp aquis, or a Lg
 
I have a 50" SONY LCD...Its great....Espeacially when your playing video games. Like Halo is awsome on there. LCD's are like giant computer screens almost. I love mine!
 
Pioneer Plasma PDP-5070HD rocks and it's tough to beat for the price. The PS3 Video Games are rock solid clear and fast.

depends on your plans..

lcd is overall nicer. plasma is cheaper but just as nice with digital images. analog like basic cable definately doesn't look as nice on plasma.

dlp is a nice cheap alternative but they are just as big as normal tube tv's in some brands.

i have plasma because it was reasonable but if money wasn't an issue i'd have lcd. the only time i truly feel it's worth the money is when wathcing 1080i/p with hd, watching a dvd or playing ps3.

this isn't such a concern with the newer plasmas. i've left video games on for several hours with no issues and watched many channels with logos for days straight with no issues.

anything's a possibility though.
