Lawn Fertalizer Companies

Does anybody have a recommendation for a good lawn fertilizer guy/company? The person we were using retired and not sure of the best place to look now. I have considered getting a spreader and doing it myself but based on what I was paying with the previous guy, it was cheaper to hire it out.

I've been using Scott's for a few years but thinking about trying to find someone cheaper for this summer.

Find someone you liked? I've got to find a place too, I've had D&G Nature's Way and Lush Lawn recommended to me but they might be too far west for you.

Scott's is fine but is obscenely expensive. Like grab your ankles expensive.
I've had Hersch's for the last two years.. Probably going to cancel as their prices are only good the first year ..

Couple tips to keep in mind. Fertilizer prices have dropped bc they are oil based. So any company should honor last years prices if not lower. Also make sure you are truly cancelled. Most company's have a revolving contract and will just continue to show up. Last but but least. Don't be fooled by the big companies, almost all of the major players in the fertilizer game own multiple companies and names. So when they piss u off under one name, shortly after you will get solicited by a different that seems to know what makes you mad and promises to never do that, you will think ok well then it's worth it for the few extra $ per app. Sorry to ramble. Just been around the fertilizer industry my whole life and seen a lot of funny stuff.

Funny that you say this. Scott's just showed up on Saturday and did my yard before I noticed that they were there. Sneaky bastids.
Yep. My sister in law had the same issue in Traverse City with TruGreen. She cancelled, the company kept sending crews.
