Law question

I just found out that I received a parking ticket 3 years ago in Wyandotte.

I was parked at Jerrys market and the owner had it towed away. I called the court and they said that the ticket was written as a school zone parking ticket.

Can I get a school zone ticket for being parked in a private lot?

I thought that on private property the business owner just calls the tow company and gets it out of there. What do the police have to do with anything? When I got hit at mcdonalds the cop said he couldn't do anything cause it was private property.

Also the time the ticket was written was 2:20pm - I had gone there at like 9am and got the car from the tow truck driver who had just loaded it up - I had to give him $100. I got no paperwork or anything cause I didn't think I'd need it. I had no idea the law was involved.

Need a little help.

So how much is it to just pay the ticket? Is there a bench warrant out for your arrest? If so don't get pulled over?

Yes, $250 fine and a warrant. I would at least like to talk to somebody before I pay $250 for something like that. If it isn't a legitimate ticket, I obviously do not want to pay. School zone ticket for parking in a private lot?

Private property, cops get called, they run the plate and check the vin, then they call the tow company to get it towed....at least that's how we always handled abandoned cars in our lot.

Is it normal to get a ticket though? Why wouldn't it be a private property ticket? They have that and it is a much smaller ticket.

a warrant for that? that sucks dude...$250 or the bs associated with getting pulled w a warrant???
