I know.. this is a stupid rant but it pissed me off LOL

So I almost NEVER go to that shit hole anymore, the seemingly overwhelming majority of clientele there is just freeloading trash... Only problem is wife somehow LOVES Rojo and was pissed when it moved from Partridge to Lakeside.

Those of you who don't know Lakeside is a HUGE pro criminal empowerment zone (Read Gun Free Zone) so on our last trip to Rojo I noticed they had removed the no firearms stickers from that entrance (didn't check others) and put up what I thought were new ownership stickers. Intrigued I reached out to them on Facebook to ask if they had a change of heart to which they replied no but you can call this phone number if you have any questions.

So I called them today and very nicely and politely (seriously) asked if the policy was still in effect and the answer was yes and then I asked nicely if there were any discussions about possibly modifying that policy since there was just a car jacking at gunpoint? The bitch hung up on me... This was supposedly the general managers phone number LOL
 
I haven't been in that place in about 15 years. I avoid Hall Rd at any cost lol

I carry everywhere no matter what. If it's concealed nobody will know and there not doing pat downs at the door. So if your smart about it nobody will know u have a firearm on you.

I know, but I also know I have the choice not to go there which I think is the better option considering they wont get my money. Just sad that they can have obvious events that may have ended differently IE one more carjacker out of commission should they choose to change their policies. I still cant believe she just hung up on me rather than answer the question.

I am with you I always have one on me I have a ruger LCP fits in any pocket, right or wrong I have carried into theaters, cobo during autorama every mall i go to. I feel the only way they will ever know is if i have to use it and that point I dont care, I will take a chance on losing my cpl for 6 months to be here to lose it.
Side note the posting no guns allowed is the reason i wont shop at Value City for anything, I asked someone there about and their policy of not allowing guns they said it was for the employees and customer protection, I told him you realize criminals dont care about your sign only law abiding citizens. He stood their and looked dumb.

So let me ask this.....

I understand that there are laws that prevent CPL holders to carry in certain places and restrict other places.

If a place that is legal to carry has a gun free zone sign, is it still legal to carry there? What ramifications are there? You said that you carry everywhere. If you were held at gunpoint in a gun-free zone and defended yourself would you be charged for illegally possessing a firearm?

Yes I could be charged with possessing a gun in a gun free zone, basically they can suspend your ccw and fine you but if i had to use it to protect my family or myself I think thats a small price to pay. Plus I have a feeling in a situation like that the media and the public would put so much pressure on them nothing probably would happen.

She isnt a lawyer, Chris... she hung up on you because she's not allowed to carry a gun as a mall employee. Because of that, she believes you shouldn't either... you also could have been her superior trying to get her in trouble.

Get over it. :) We were stonewalled by the "we moved" sign in Novi and instead went to Bar Louie.... good food.

If only you knew how picky my wife is lol :) I'm over it just thought the fact that she hung up on me rather than just say hey that's our policy sorry was crazy lol

This is true for any state mandated gun free zones. For any private building/ business that has their own fun free policy, all they can do is charge you with trespassing.

As for using your weapon for defense in a gun free zone, I have no idea what the ramifications are. Probably also depends if it is a state gun free zone or private.

We went to the new location in Novi last week. It's definitely gone downhill since they moved. Won't be going back there anytime soon since there are plenty of better Mexican places around.
