The mother let impatience get the best of her and now at least two people are dead. I can't imagine the horror of living knowing that you killed two children.
You and me, both. I won't drive down my driveway or out of a parking spot till my 5 year old is tightly buckled down in her child booster seat. I still check the belt and seat myself ever time she gets in my truck. She does it on her own, but I like to check and make sure it's tight. When I see young kids bouncing around an adult's moving car I want to pull that driver over and smack the shit out of them.
...Al- I do the same thing with our kids, isn't it crazy to think we didn't even need belts when we were kids?
I get pissed when I see little kids who aren't buckled up.... something like this is just mind boggling.
About 2 weeks ago I was coming home for lunch to see my son and got in a wreck. They pulled out in front of me, I tried to avoid them but cars were coming in the other lane so I had no choice but to tag them in the rear 1/4 @ 50mph. It felt like driving through card board. I look in my rear view and see them jump out and rush the back of the car. Im like fuck somes in the back. I leave my shit on the side of the road and run over to there Taurus... This young couple has a baby girl (roughly 9mo) in a baby seat facing forward(WRONG) and some how they had the belt halfway through? and the belt was not locked....I shit my pants, the baby has a bump on her head. The baby ended up being ok but people are stupid.
You should have put a dent in the parents' heads!!!issed:
I still laugh at adults who wear those things, though.
Being older doesn't make your head any less prone to damage. It's good safety sense.
Yep. How times have changed. My friends and I used to make fun of the kids who wore helmets when they rode their bikes. It was odd to see that. Now MOST kids, and even many adults, wear helmets when they ride bicycles. My daughter wears a helmet and she still has her training wheels on...very bent by me so they are barely in use, but they are still on. I still laugh at adults who wear those things, though.
