kooks interference with steering shaft

ok...put my kooks 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" to 3 inch and NO way in hell will the steering shaft clear the headers. I ordered the flaming river shaft last night and HOPE it clears but dont feel real positive about it. Might had to 'dimple" the headers some more...

anyone else have issues like this??

I had to get a solid steering shaft (no rag joint) to clear my MAC headers, went with MM and it fit great.

update:
FR shaft worked but had to dimple one primary (just flatten edge) barely ...seems to fit perfect now.

solid or poly mounts, motor plate? be prepared to hammer more! turning the wheels and the motor moving can stick the wheel mid turn
