kind-of no-start question

When the key is turned the car will fire, sounds good, no popping or banging.
As soon as I let go of the key, it shuts off.

Checked the digital 6, red light blinks when turning over and solid red when it runs.
fuel press is good, just over 40lbs. Fuel pump stays on, can hear it and checked power at the relay.
Changed out the ignition switch

Car has Anderson FMS PMS on it too. And ran fine when it was a blower car. It was a series 1, I converted it to series 2 via a chip in the purple box and a new hand held. When I turn the key the hand held shows EFI Systems blah blah. But then goes to a all but blank screen, one little dash mark on the display.

I am goi g to remove the PMS tonight and see what happens, or do you think it could be a wiring problem with the key/ ignition?

Something sounds wrong with the PMS. I have the same one and it should display all the parameters when starting and running. Since you probably have a matching mass air to your injectors you should be able to start the car with out the PMS. I would start there first.

I will unplug the PMS tonight, if that works, I'll go back to the series 1 set-up and call Anderson.

I was hoping it was simple like that. Expensive but simple.

"Duke" aka Joe was over last night till about 9pm. Going over a couple things. And that's what we kinda thought too. But it is just odd to me it goes off with the key like that

I would try bypassing the digital six also if that doesn't work. Did you mess with any of the wires to the starter solinoid located on the apron?

joe rewired the whole car. There are no wires under the hood. :-)

Another guy said to check that the msd has power to the small red while inthe run position as well as crank position

So ALL of the wires have been messed with!

But the msd worked before I took the car apart. But I know the D6 is known to crap out

i looked there doesnt look to be an adjustment on there.

but the correct problem was the series 2 PMS. started with the stock ECM and i converted the PMS back to series 1 and it fires and runs.

and now #5 injector was stuck open. wouldnt build fuel pressure when the key was turned on. so i pulled the plugs and #5 was full of fuel. so its removed and i want to drop it off at Livernois tomorrow morning
