So I am kind of board at work and I uploaded pics the other day of Khan's new harness. It is awesome. I ordered it here http://www.weightpullharness.com/ She custom made it they way I requested and it was only $36 delivered. It is super sturdy too. PLus I am always happy to show Khan off!

Finally. he stil prefers fetch over anything, but he wasn't using the spring pole at all last year when I put it in.

I'm noticing he looks chunky in the harness pics...not sure why....guess the camera really does add pounds  He just got weighed at the vet this week...down to 54 lbs...only 1 or 2 to go and he will be at his good summer weight.

that looks really kool Shelly
and your yard looks great too!

Khan weighs the same as Haylee and she is heavy. If I had to carry her a long distance I would be screwed..

Thanks!

Notice you can't see the neighbors yards

I can not say enough good things about this harness. Seriously I LOVE it! I think the handle is probably the best part. It is sturdy and I can lift him by it if needed.

I agree. I got one for my puppy a few weeks ago and they are amazing! It works great at stopping him from pulling on walks, since he is 4 1/2 months and already 45 pounds...

Sweet harness!

I too now have a springpole for Diesel. Het ate completely through a VERY hard 1" thick rope in the matter of a few minutes. :shake:

And I thought Khan had major leg/hip issues. If that's the case what purpose will the harness serve? *Not being a dick, just curious*

He doesn't have major issues! He has a luxating patella. It is a grade 1 1/2 -2. We went to the specialist quite a while ago and they are not recommending surgery at this time, because the knee is no longer dislocating on a regular basis. It was doing it multiple times daily. I actually can't remember the last time it popped out. If it starts popping out again on a regular basis then he would need surgery to correct it. Both the vet and the specialist said to not limit or discontinue any of his regualr activities (walking, running, playing, etc.) But he will never weight pull, which is what I was going to do with him before I found out he had a bad knee.

The harness is just a walking harness. So the purpose of it is to go on walks :D

Ahh. Well a harness similar to that one might be purchased for Diesel next summer. I plan to have him pull our youngest daughter around when we go on walks. Diesel can only be walked on a pinch collar, otherwise he pulls like there is no tomorrow. Even with a pinch collar he does not have great leash etiquette. Pretty good, but not great...which I know is mostly my fault as I don't spend the leash time with him I probably should.

a friends dog is the same way... it was more of a work out and a pain in the ass to try to walk his dog untill they tried the pinch collar and now he barely pulls... my pup pulls when my girl has the leash but not for me, i dont get it but she is getting strong do i just hold in now

He does loose leash walking great...unless there is a dog in a yard barking....then it is game on. We have been working very hard on his reactiveness and he is getting better. Once we get that down pat I am taking him to get his Canine Good citizen.
