Kawasaki KFX 700 w/ winch and plow - $4500 (Milford)
Kawasaki KFX 700. 2wd:
Condition:
great condition, no rust, no cracks in plastic, no tears in seat, quality fluids used.
Drive train:
V-twin motor - extremely strong and fast.
starts every time, no leaks, doesn't burn anything. I only use quality fluids.
Automatic transmission - put it in drive or reverse and push the thumb throttle
The only engine modification is a change in the clutch spring to the "Pink" spring mod. This gives a little more top end speed without sacrificing low end torque.
It currently has stock exhaust. I sand blasted the exhaust and painted it with high temp flat black paint. I used a great paint that has lasted for years on my banshee's (that exhaust get much much hotter than on the kawasaki)
Plastics:
Green
No cracks
seat - no tears.
6-pack aluminum rack in rear
Tires:
Holeshot tires all around.
- For winter I have tire chains for all 4 tires
I have skat trak 8 paddle haulers for the sand (silver lake dunes) for the rears
Modifications:
WINCH:
I installed a winch on the front for the plow.
The winch mounting brackets can be removed in 5 minutes by removing 4 bolts. I designed it this way so in the summer, I could ride without the winch up front. (i.e. dunes, trails, etc...).
There are two wires going to the winch that can be removed in a minute, and zip tied out of the way.
The switch is on the handlebars and out of the way.
PLOW and PUSH TUBES:
Its 48" wide, and can angled to the right or left.
It has 2 springs attached, in case you hit something hard, the plow will flex forward.
The winch lifts the plow very high. (some setups I've seen online only life the plow about 6-8"). My setup lifts the plow over 2'.
The entire plow is attached with 2 large bolts through the front bumper. Again, you can remove the plow in 2 minutes.
I know what you're thinking that a 2wd atv will not move snow. Well it does a great job. This is a large quad. My plan was to add a little weight to the rear grab bar for extra traction.
I never had a problem with this ATV. I have a couple banshee's that i ride/race, so this gets little use. It has little use. mostly by my wife at the dunes or on the trails. At 100 hours of use the "check belt" light will come on and needs to be reset. It has not come on yet, so the ATV has less than 100 hours.
EXTRAS:
Included is the factory Kawasaki Manual for the quad. It explains tire pressure to rebuilding the motor in detail with part numbers and step by step instructions.
I also have a DMC Alien Dual Exhaust. It adds power over stock exhaust. It was too loud for my wife so I put the stock exhaust back on. It was rust free and the mufflers are rust free and painted with very high temp flat black paint. I will include this for the full asking price or sell separate for $350.00. New this exhaust for almost $700
As it sits right now, it has the winch and plow installed.
