Car's got about 90K on the clock, needs an upper intake manifold. Its pretty much stock, most of the wiring has been turned into a complete mess. That'll be really fun to sort out. Bunch of stuff unplugged under the hood. I'm going to order a Cobra upper and lower intake set to replace the stock intake. CAI and long tubes will follow very shortly after.

Cool love the four eyed cars! Did you get it for a good price? You might want to go with a painless set-up if the wiring is too fubar'd. Looks like you're in my neck of the woods.

 Just read the 86 vert title. Need to change that nose back to an 86;) Still a nice car though.

Yeah its an 87-93 front clip. Picked it up for a thousand bucks. :D I haven't taken a close look at the wiring yet, but what precisely do you mean by painless set-up?

Painless sells a complete harness I believe for 87-93 mass air cars-I assume it has been converted to mass-air? It'll replace the current harness. May be the way to go if the current ones hacked up pretty bad.

Nah its not mass-air. But its a conversion I'm considering. I think the wiring harness and what not is in pretty good shape, but its clear that somebody was under there screwing around. I'll take a better look at it tomorrow.

if i were you i would just pitch that motor. their is no reason to change an 86 5.0 to mass air. you cant put a cam in it without fly cutting pistons. get a decently cheap short block and some gt40 heads and work from there

nice score for 1000 bucks good luck

Nah I'm not gonna swap the motor unless it doesn't run. I plan on selling this in a year or two. I'm not going to hold onto it forever.

WOW that almost looks like my car.....without the wing.......

I absolutely love that wing. I've never been a freak about Saleen wings, but after seeing it from all angles sitting in my driveway, it really gives the car a sexy profile. And its not overdone, I don't think.

1k for that is a great price....and there are people on here with parts......you're in good shape. nice ride...Now if was me I would yank the ford motor out.....and well.....replace it...........

haha, motor's only got 92K. It stays. If I would have had the money I would've bought a Dodge. :P But god these things are cheap to make fast. Bidding on some stuff tonight. With any luck this beast will hit the road sometime next week.
