Just picked this up for my dads Birthday...

Months ago I put a WTB thread up for a Mustang conv. on here for my Dads 65th Birthday.....

Here is the one that we (mom/I) picked up for him yesterday....Tastefully mods and nothing crazy.

(He has never owned any cars for "fun" so this is his first non-transportation ride)

It was locally owned: 2000 Mustang GT, 44K miles (only 19K in the last 6 years) Auto (its for him to cruise) CDC Shaker hood, Mach one chin spoiler, newer head lamps, CDC grille delete, FR500 wheel (18x9, 18x10) Newer Seats, steering wheel, CDC Light bar, Magnaflow exhaust, 4.10 gear CDC sequential tailights, eibach springs...ETC.

So far the only changes are removal of the windshield banner and the window tint will come off the DR/PASS windows to avoid issues.

PS dont bother trying to race him, he will just ignore you and keep cruising and it looks faster than it is!

Looks clean, nice ride - very low mileage.

FWIW - The proper spelling is "Magnaflow," for the exhaust brand/name... :)

Very clean. Hack half a coil off the front springs and level it out!

I have been looking at that.....not sure what I want to do to level it (different springs..etc)

Nice clean find. If he isnt into speed that is the perfect cruiser.

Thanks.....yes he is....I dont think the gas pedal will ever hit the carpet :)

I did not take the pictures...they were taken by the previous owner and yes he lived in Dearborn.

Magnaflow....spelling corrected. thx

That is a NICE car.
Good for him....

That will be an awesome cruiser for him...
Though 4.10 I would think a 3.73 would have been better for highway but whatever....

Your a good son man!

It came with the 4.10 in it.......we drove it for a couple hours last night including the freeway. The way it will be driven the 4.10 should be fine.

If not I do have a stock 3:27 (?) in a box, but I doubt it will ever get installed.

Well good,
glad it all worked out for ya

Man I hope when I am 65 I have a wife and children that will help me get a nice toy cruiser.
That is BA

Looks great as it is. I wouldn't touch the springs. Half a coil won't do anything anyways. I cut 1/2 off my fox body and it's just as high as every other fox body. What a waste of a whole day and messing with springs compressors! I'd buy new springs so you don't have to mess with a spring compressor....or leave it as it is.

That's a great looking clean Mustang. Congrats on the find and +1 for buying your Dad a car!
