I am swapping from a 4cyl to 302 in my 87 fox body, the 8.8 rear end that I have has quad shocks, and the car doesn't seem to have mounts for the other 2 shocks. do I need to weld some in?

if your putting boxed lower control arms on you wont need the quad shocks.
the factory put them on to stop wheel hop
you wont have a problem if you use a aftermarket lower

The two main shocks mount off the back of the lower control arm brackets. So are you saying there are no lower control arm brackets??

no there is no place on the chassis for the upper mount, not the lower mount.

no hes saying that 4cylinder bodies dont have the quad shock mounts on them....

you dont need them junkie things throw them away and wack the mounts off the 8.8

the mounting point is just a stud welded to the frame that the quad shock mounts on. if u are conceded about having them then u can make ur own mounts. but as said above with a better lower control arm, or possibly boxing them, you will be gravy.
