GTFO holy shit thats some big $$$ i understand the fun factor, but couldnt you just build a jeep (or something like it) for 1/4 of the price and get about the same satisfaction?

Yes that's 100% true, it's all fun kids have a blast, they put about 30 miles on them the frist day an gotta say it is well worth it, street legal kit is all on them just waiting on roof an tires so yea ill be picking them up from school lol

i had no idea they were eligable to be street legal. that is pretty cool. when they first came out i thought they were pretty niche, but now a LOT more people are getting them (a lot more than i ever expected)

Side by sides have a massive market. One of the coolest toys out there. So how much was the street legal kit?

Have fun!

Make sure you download the Michigan TR-54 form. I think you're missing a couple things on your list. The "Street Legal Kit" most folks sell online only include lights and are around $250. Figure about $3K to make it street legal in Michigan assuming you do everything your self.

Here's the list:
Headlights (OEM)
Turn signals (FYI - OEM rear brake light has spot for blinker)
Tail light (OEM)
License plate bracket w/ light
Horn
Bright light indicator (OEM)
Windshield wiper(s)
Windshield fluid reservoir
Brakes (OEM)
Parking brake
Seat belts (OEM)
Windshield (DOT approved)
Outside drivers side rear view mirror
Bumpers front and rear
Tires (DOT approved)
Exhaust (OEM)
Differential (OEM)

I started to convert my RZR4 and quickly realized I wouldn't use it enough to justify the real cost of converting to street legal in MI. I live 7 miles out in the country. If you live closer to the city, it's probably worth it.

These things come well equipeted lights brights brake lights, I have the forum, the kit I got was turn signal horn lic bracket an mirror pretty much waiting on whiper an tires an that's it, prob have 300 in it with out whiper an tires, I was gonna do my golf Cart they wanted around 1000, the place I got my can am said around 1200 ill do it myself almost in half, maybe that's why these things cost so much cause they almost have everything on that list so much easier to do
