I say glossy... You can do multiple ways to protect them... Ask them... They will tell you...

Reiko, have you seen their glossy wheels? They were telling me that their glossy finish is REALLY glossy. They made it sound like their glossy finish is like black chrome. That kinda threw me off a bit and I said satin.

Do you know just how glossy their finish is? Do you think if I tell them glossy tomorrow, they can look like this? This is what I want my wheels to look like.

i would have them glossy, BUT, it defeinetely needs some sort of polished lip to seperate the rim from tire. See how much better it looks with the polished edge, rather than without?

I looked at two different cars today on the forums, with both of the owners asking for a glossy finish to their wheels. Yet, one rim was more glossy than the other. This makes me think that how glossy a rim will come out after requesting a glossy finish will depend on the shop that does it.

So QC Coatings glossy finish might be a lot more glossy than XXX's shop glossy finish. This is what I need to know. I don't want to call them tomorrow and tell them to make it glossy instead of satin, then pick up the car and there is bling bling everywhere. Damn, can't a man just ask for a semi gloss?

Life is too confusing...

gl and please dont do the chrome lip tell them to mix glossy with eggshell(or satin) I do that with paint and it comes out really nice.

Fadi... Anyway of them having coat a little peice of something in their glossy black to show you? That would help you make up your mind really easily....

I would agree with Reiko, ask for a sample or show them the pictures of the finish you are looking for and let them tell you.
I third this recommendation. They should have samples in their shop of the different colors and gloss levels that they do. If they cannot show you parts they should at least have pictures.

Personally I still vote for glossy. They will tone down a bit when you drive as the brake dust will take the gloss down a notch or two. But when the car and wheels are clean they will shine!! And if you get those black chrome lugs the glossy wheel will go better with those.
