I just hope it runs "killer"!!

Had major issues last year and still ran 10.60's N/A.....Should go much faster this year, but who knows

from the looks of it, it should... plus its still a stickshift so that will help on the motor too...how much does it weigh?

Weighs 3000# with me in it. We found so much crap wrong / hurt in the engine when we tore it down, its amazing to me it ran what it did...11 Broken valve springs, 5 leaking intake valves, 10 stem seals either chewed up or gone, water was leaking into the #1, 4, 5, 8 intake runners (Intake did not fit properly), etc, etc... Oh boy was my engine builder a badass..more like dumbass. By the way, the car never slowed down or lost MPH, so we think the genius broke the springs on the dyno and never told me. No wonder it never seemed to run like it should have. Never again, will I pay someone to put my crap together.

Now it has More Camshaft (~.700" lift / ~270* @ .050"), More valve train stability, lightened valve train (ferrea valves, Ti retainers, locks, etc.), More Carb (950 Pro-systems), Bigger / Stiffer pushrods, More Vacuum, and More RPM.

looks good! i have to suggest you get rid of the fram filter though, theyre bad news......

I ran them for the past 3 years without any issues, but after this last tear down, I will be running a System 1 filter this year. The fram was just an extra I threw on there to keep dust out.

just giving you some advise those filters are known for failing at high rpm and starving an engine of oiling.....

corey

ive heard they are good, everyone ive talked to says wix filters are the best or napa brand which is made by wix. isnt the system1 filter expensive?

corey

They aren't cheap, thats for sure. But I got one for $120 and its re-usable / cleanable. At this point $120 isn't crap when we are talking about ruining a whole motor. Well, at least thats the way I'm looking at it.
