Junkyarding a 351 EFI - am I on the right track?

Some of you might remember that I picked up a truck 351 EFI with no wiring harness or ECU. I went junkyarding today and got a few odds and ends, and want to check if I'm on the right track.

I managed to grab an ECU from a 92 E150 Van that had the 351. It is an EEC-IV ECU (D2X1) which is what I thought I required. I can't tell if this is a mass air vehicle because the intake has already been taken (the throttle bodies are still there). Will this ECU work for a MAF system?

I didn't see a wiring connection either for a MAF on the van. Most of the trucks we found out there didn't have any sort of measurement device anywhere before the throttle body - where are the sensors? I'm hesitant to grab any of these wiring harnesses (even though the motor looks exactly like ours) without knowing if it will even work.

We also grabbed two top intakes and throttle bodies from 5.0s since the lowers won't work. The first is a 5.0 HO from an XR7 Cougar, which I know will work fine. The second was a GT40 intake from a 97 Explorer. The top intake won't work right now since it uses staggered passages (we need a lighting lower intake?), but we're going to hold onto it. The question is whether or not the GT40 throttle body will work fine. I don't think the ECU or harness will work since it had individual coil plugs (no distributer) so I left them. I also left the MAF since I didn't think it would work (I know where I left it, does it have any resale value?). We weren't supposed to be working on it (the fluids hadn't been drained), so we couldn't grab the GT40P heads which really ticked me off.

I gave up on this project. The EFI components I have are all OBD-II from the looks of them. Essentially I'm piecing together a complete EFI system since everything has to be replaced (except maybe the injectors). Only thing I can think of to try in the future is grab a speed desnity based dual throttle body from a 5.8 van/truck and see if it will work with a mass air set-up.

What is this motor going into? You could use all Mustang stuff if you wanted to re-cal the ecm. Otherwise if you want to stick to the truck stuff go with early 90's F150-250 components.

I want to put it in a 62 F100. Here are the problems with the 5.0 stuff that I've found.

1) 351 lower intake doesn't have a staggered bolt pattern. The middle two bolts are straight across. The only intake that might work with 5.0 upper intakes is a lightning lower, but those go for way to much on eBay. We could go aftermarket, but again, $$$.
2) Since we have to use a 351 upper intake (see #1), it uses a dual throttle body. No 5.0 throttle body will fit.
3) All of the stuff on our 351 are OBD-II sensors/connectors. So they all need to be replaced anyways to use a eec-iv maf ecu. Even the distributer needs to be replaced. I think the only useable thing are the injectors.
4) I think, from reading, since mustang 5.0 guys can swap from speed density to MAF by only swapping some stuff around on the ECM connection and adding a MAF sensor (no other sensors seemed to be replaced), that I would be able to take a speed density 351 dual throttle body (so it would fit our 351 intake upper/lower) and have it work. It's all a theory though at this point.

So in the end, even though we have a FI 351, it's like it's not even FI to begin with since I need to replace everything. We're thinking it'll be easier, and cheaper, just to throw a normal intake and carb on it. I really don't want to do it since that's what we've done forever and I want to learn something new, but it's not my $$$ going into the project.
