Jordan's NEW Mustang

I trust dave and his guys work so im gonna go with what he told me to do. If it doesnt work so what. Try somethin else

Just make sure you tell Dave whats going on. I'm sure he will fix whatever. But you know it's like anything you do on these cars it's a guessing game. Hope it all works out. You have a good start anyway. I know Tim has done a couple of these ls conversions so he's a good guy to talk to also.

Thank you Gary for the comment you made.......i have been dealing with cancer the last 2 years so i`m on the computer alot more....

Wow Tim. I'll keep you in my prayers man. I'v been a little under the weather my self but working on getting better.

yeah i will keep dave included everystep of the way. I have read alot of bad things about the team z stuff but im having trouble believeing it all. Maybe im naive or i just have alot of faith in his work. I'll findout. im buying a camshaft this weekend and a spacer to make my th350 convertor work, so ill be able to mate it together and put it in the car and see where i stand trans mount wise

Good luck hope it works out for you. Dave will stand behind his products thats forsure.

One other thing i was thinking of and another reason why my friend is going to ask if he can return his next week....you no how the TZ kmember has your motor sitting lower then AJE or any other kmember ??? well what headers are you going to use that clears the steering shaft ?? I think you guys might have to make custom headers maybe ??? Also if you guys can make kooks or dynatech headers work they might end up hanging to low maybe........Also if Dave redesigns the kmember or motor mounts he needs to make a matching trans cross member so you guys can use it with his kmember and mounts so that the motor is straight and at the right angle.........AJE does that......

Heres some pics ......i just painted my engine bay about 2 weeks ago and put my ls3 mock up motor in......real motors not ready yet....
AJE kmember with LS mounts
AJE adjustable trans cross member
LS f-body oil pan
Kooks headers with 3 1/2 collects........steering shaft clear but i had to move the top knuckle closer to the fire wall.....

Looking good. Ditch the TH350 for a TH400. Trust me. I went through about 3 th350s in my cam only LS1 car in the first year that I swapped an auto in. Wish I would've went th400 from the start.

I had a guy biuld me a th350 and he charged me $560.i ended up putting it behind my LS7 with 700hp and never had a problem.went 9.60`s on motor .Then i sold the car about 2 years later and the guy i sold it to put a 100 shot on it and went 9.10`s letting of early and did this all summer with no problems...

Just an FYI our K member was designed around the morosso pan, the reason we did that is when we talked to the shops that were doing the swaps at the time they were all using aftermarket pans, The two shops that I was working with said the morosso pan was the best and most comon pan so that is what we used when we designed the mounts. But now it seem the swap has turned into a very inexpensive swap. I under stand you can get a junk yard motor and cheaply go very fast, I have worked with several of the people who have done the Junkyard swap and the F body pan will not fit. But the Truck pan does. I understs about budget swaps and if I could make the F body pan work without comprimising the engine location I would. But to raise the engine another inch and a half would really mess up the Crank center line height, the crank center line is not criticle in a street car but in a fox body race car it's the difference between just going down the track and the car working.

Ive built enough cars to know there is a difference between just doing it and doing it right! For the guy who said the truck pan didnt work, why didn't it work?

My friend and other people are bitching that it hangs to low and i agree....
This pic here is with the front end in the air still...

I told him to put a lift kit on it ..but he just gets more pisst...but after installing his new headers and new aftermarket steering shaft and that not working he pulled everything out and is selling everything..........I`m the one who told him to keep his money in Mi. and to go and talk to you Dave........so he did.....and now that nothing is working i feel like shit.......But at least i learned to use the other guys k-member......Also i have another freind that i told to go see you (before i new any better)so he did and now he is also pissst.........Can these guys return there k-members with mounts without getting charged a restocking fee ??? Both guys are locall......both k-members have been mocked up...

Also you say that you have talked to 2 shops and there telling you to use the Moroso oil pan ???? Why in the world would all these guys and kids doing these conversions want to use a $500 Moroso oil pan with a $200 oil filter relocation kit when they can use a $200 GM pan without a oil filter relocation kit ??? You have to be talking to the wrong shops.....or

Also you say you can`t raise the engine another inch and a half because it would really mess up the Crank center line height ???? Help me understand this more.........AJE has the motor higher with his matching trans crossmember and he has cars going 7`s 8`s...

Also you have lots of guys thinking that your going to modify the motor mounts or k-member on LS1tech.........now it sounds like your not ???
I`m seeing lots of guys selling your k-member and mounts and a few guys are selling just your ls mounts and makeing new ones so maybe you should try and do something ??? I do have a f-body pan on the self ??? But if you can get the LS3 Corvette pan to clear then there would be 3 GM low profile pans that would work.......Then your k-member would sell like hottcakes and people would be happy.....

I hope I haven't been talking to the wrong shops!! First and foremost they weren't kids and the builds were high end not budget! One had contacted me because they have had problems with quality and breakage on other manufactures K members and ask me if I was interested in doing something. As for why they would choose a Morosso pan over the F body, Good question! I'll answer it like this if there wasn't a need for a pan like that Morosso and other manufactures wouldn't be making them I'm sure there is a reason many people choose one pan or the other and one is probably price!

As for headers and aftermarket shaft not working we have never had an issue with rack and shaft placement, here's a picture of one in a mustang with a Flaming river rack and shaft, and you can see there is plenty of room and it's straight foreward.

It's a fairly straight shot so I have no idea why the shaft wont work since the rack placement is what we have been using for 10 years on our mustang SBF K members with out issue!

This is a picture of the clearance for pans the only one that doesn't fit at this time is the F body, as soon as we get all the pieces to to make the F body pan fit we will defiantly do it maybe one of your 2 buddy's would like to bring their projects here so we can fit everything on a car and I can stop relying on what people say on the internet! as you can see there is plenty of clearance except for the F body pan, it has a long shallow sump and the front edge hits on the cross bar....

Also you say you can`t raise the engine another inch and a half because it would really mess up the Crank center line height ???? Help me understand this more.........AJE has the motor higher with his matching trans crossmember and he has cars going 7`s 8`s...

I can raise the engine as high as anyone wants me to lets weight the options $600 for 6 inch cowl hood or different pan HUMMMM??? But really there is a Crank CL that we work off of that really makes these cars work well That is why we have some of the best front halfing cars in the country! I hope you can understand where weight is placed and drive line angles are important to making a car work well lots of cars run 8 only a few sixty foot sub 1.10!

Isn't this the beauty of the internet?? You read it so int must be true!!! I have no interest in producing parts that don't work Period! We know now that we have a problem with the F body pan, I need a car, an engine, and F body pan, and time, when I have all of these pieces together at one time I will make it happen, the problem is getting everything to fall together at the same time, I would love to buy your F body pan! I would actually love to buy a Few of them and modify them for anyone that is having an issue so I can resolve it cheaply for them!
I will take car of this problem....I'm sure that AJE had issues when they first did their swap K member...but we will get it right!

I have no dog in this fight, but it sounds like Dave is more than willing to help anyone that's having a issue with the pan and his k member, Can't ask for much more than that. Sounds like prob solved. Good business Dave thanks
