Anybody have a number for these guys? Need a C4 trans rebulilt and have heard they name mentioned a few times. Anyone have any feedback on them or a contact?

Buddy of mine used him and had all kind of issues.....other people swear by him.

Maybe JQ can chime in about Ridings Auto's, seems people are very happy with him.
 
You wont go wrong with Joels on Joy. Joel is 1 of very few techs that truly understand a automatic trans.
Joel builds transmissions for some big hitters like; Golobo, Blevans, Uratchko just to name a few.
 
Joel may know his way around an automatic transmission but his arrogance is WAY too much for me to deal with. When someone walks into a company to spend well over $2K for a stinkin' C4, show some professionalism, and do not talk down to them. That is all.
 
joels is nice but i hear he is very arrogant like quicklx said. also heard that it takes awhile to get your stuff from him. mike ridings is a good guy to go with and can build a great trans, and he is a good guy also. i would spend my money with him before i went to joel anyday

Joels does great work takes a while do to him being so busy. He is kind of a dick but he is good at what he does.

We used to use Joel's years back, his stuff seemed good up to about 5-600hp then we started to have problems with his stuff. We spent a good amount of $ with him, (2-3 trannys a year) it got hard to get stuff out of him in a timely manner. I think he really likes the street rod crowd, because they don't hammer their stuff, like racers do, and they don't come back in the middle of the race season needing their stuff fixed right away. Less pressure on him.
Now, we just ship the stuff off to Rossler, end up getting it alot quicker.
I know what everyone is saying about Joels attitude, he doesn't discriminate, he treats everyone like a dick, from what I have seen. That got old pretty quick. The other guy that worked with him, Shawn I think, was cool.
 
I never dealt with Joel's on Joey... And whenever I need a trans for a RWD car I will never plan on dealing with him... Just from the stories I hear on his attitude... I rather deal with someone who is professional then some fucking prick...

This is the exact impression I got! Shawn seems like a decent guy, and rather polite. But then, if you need a technical question answered, he brings Joel into it.........

Yep, that happened twice, and that was enough. Now instead of buying from a guy that is only 25 minutes away, i am getting a killer th400 from a guy that is several hours away (Hutch's transmissions in Ontario).
 
Shawn was cool as fuck to me. I would ask for him when i would call to ask when are shit was going to be finished. And then he would ask joel. LMAO
 
I can't understand why people would keep going back to a guy that treats them like crap in spite of the fact that they are PAYING customers.

Oh and +1 for Kenny Langlois. He's a great guy to deal with.
 
i never had a problem with Joel. hes a crack head, but thats not for me to judge. C4 and a 200r4.

from the recommendations of Riddings from Reiko, johnquick and others my current trans was built by Riddings.
