Joe Ruggirello, Gapp and Roush Mustang II

There are still details to do, events to attend, sharing the car with Jack Roush, Wayne Gapp, and others who remember the car.

In some ways, the journey is just beginning!

Looks great, sad it is now over, I looked forward to the updates.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you Tom.....you gave the best present to yourself! Great job.

How was the ride......could you wipe the grin off your face?

LOL!! post on muscle mustang and fast ford facebook page Describes the car as "500 cubic inch twin turbo..."

It did in fact have twin turbos before it left Detroit. Roush did that work at his shop for Joe Ruggirello. Problem was, afterward the front end came off the ground under boost. It ended up sitting quite a bit, Joe moved on to building a fox body Mustang with a cleveland in it.

It was then sold to a gentleman in Florida, painted white/blue stripes.

The car still had the twin turbos on it when I found it.

This was how it appeared in 1995 when I saw it here in Florida.

Just curious, why didn't you keep it with the turbos?

Mainly because its not how people remember the car. There were no photos or anything showing the car in that form, so after a LOT of thought, I decided to take it back to as it was in the Hot Rod Magazine article. It seemed like the right thing to do.

Makes sense....

Ps, it was no criticism, just curious.

Just curious.....Are you thinking about another car....??.....;)

Nice seeing you back on the board....

Thanks Jim. Been coming back for the updates on this car. No, I think I can honestly say I'm done, don't miss them at all.

Been looking hard at new boats though, LOL. Maybe at the end of this summer I'll pick up a new boat, ya know bigger and faster....similiart o cars.

Hope all is well.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Tom !

WOW ! You sure did get it right. That's perfect.

So, please let us know what it's like to drive...

How does it feel ? Have you put your boot in it at all (even just a bit) ?

So pleased with all your hard work. Thank you ! ! !

We are all waiting to see SD in person...

Merry Christmas everyone!

First test drive today, so thought I'd take a couple of pics of the finished product. hope I got it right!!

These are for you Joe Ruggirello..RIP..you will never be forgotten.

Is Mr. Rousch aware of your efforts?

He sure is...I'm in touch with his museum curator who has shown Jack video and the latest photos. I'm still hoping that if he makes an appearance at Gary Yeoman's Ford in Daytona in February I can get the car over there to meet him again.
