Is there anyone, like a shop or something around that is VERY familiar with the JMOD that does it locally here? Its very complex and I don't feel comfortable doing myself.

Thanks, couldn't find the right forum section for this so hopefully this one is good enough.

Transgo kits for the 4R70W are J-U-N-K! The J-mod is the way to go.

It's not that hard to do, just follow the instructions found on tccoa.com.

BTW, what year?

Uh what ? There manual VB kit rocks. It'll keep a bone stock v8 4r70w alive and happy in the 9's.

As for the J-mod I can do it thats not a big deal. To me the limiting of accumulation is a good thing. However that Mod looks to result in a very hard shfting transmission. I would consider tonning down the feed sizes if it was my trans. Shock is not a good thing.

The shifts aren't hard, they're fast. Big difference, which I'm sure you're aware. Jerry W. did mine himself, and he also left out the bottom 1-2 and 2-3 accum springs.

I only know about the Transgo shiftkits. MANY people have had problems with this kit specifically with the 4R70W. It's pretty well documented on the Mustang boards.
