03 Wrangler Rubicon progress...

Looking at this wrangler tomorrow out here in AZ, sound pretty nice but higher miles with 155k. Anything that I should look for for issues. Dont really know a lot about them.

155k isnt that bad for a 16 year old car its under 10k per year

Guy said orig owner pulled it behind motor home. Said it's extremely clean

Mileage is fine wouldnt want to spend 10k for a 16 year old vehicle

I too have been looking at wranglers. They are
stupid expensive - don't think I'll be getting one
anytime soon.

Saw that but really wanting a hard top and full doors. Going to try for 8500 but will probably settle for 9k if its nice.

2002 is the sweet spot for TJs. The updates without the hard to work on crap.

In Michigan you have to watch frame rust especially near the steering box. Rusted body mounts. I don't think you will have that to worry about though. If I were to buy another TJ I would only buy one with a 6cyl-4.0. The 2.5-4cyl are way under powered in my opinion.

Looks like a nice jeep. If the tires are oversize (looks like they might be) find out if it has been re-geared. Stock gears on big tires can be a bit doggy on the road.

Looking at a 03 Rubicon this afternoon, 130k miles, new Michelin tires, i guess the paint is pretty rough since it was his hunting vehicle but can probably pick up under $9500
