Jason Hamstra crash during Friday night qualifying @ Texas Motorplex...

That was one very hard crash, I am just glad he is OK, I can't imagine how his mother felt witnessing that crash. Her heart had to feel so heavy the instant that happened.

Which is exactly what it's supposed to do to displace energy away from the driver.

It's amazing that the driver walked away from that accident given the speed and sudden deceleration, which by itself can snap your neck or smash your brain against your skull so hard that you are killed instantly, or worse - survive as a tomato.
