Anyone heard of J&H Performance in Westland?? Are they reputable for
4L60E tranmissions?
Have a customer with Super charged GM truck that has gone thru 2 trans in 2 years. They were recommended to go to get this thing built there but I never heard of them.
Anyone know them?

let a sponsor cater to you give detroit gearbox a ring. Rich has been at it maaany years and knows his 4l60's

I am in contact with Rich as I've used him from over 5-7 years ago. My inquiry was more to show my customer that no ones heard of this guy or shop (hate seeing people get burned by over nighters). Customer did contact them but was told to go 4L80 which just helped my case as he isn't looking to change his whole system over. Rich has reassured him that we can build the 4L60.
Thanks for the help guys

I sent you a PM. I'm in the same boat. Mike Ridings blew me off, Joels on Joy "wasnt interested" in it. People like that I wouldn't feel bad for when they can't keep a roof over their head in this economy.

Ridings built me a bad ass 4l60. Well...as "bad ass" as one of those things can be anyhow. Works great for me, it will be tested harder soon.

I gave you the name of a guy who I have delt with, and in my app a 4L65e behind a 5500 lbs AWD truck, it has performed flawless. Mike is a busy guy, but he is good. So in my case I waited. there are other big-name 4L60 builders...but in this economy I chose to keep my $$ close.

I hope you get somone good, it does not take much to have a crappy built trans, GL

Mike was good, I called him on a Wednesday, told him my problem. He said I could drop it off during the weekend and he would have it looked at in a day or two. Friday came, I called and left him a VM. Saturday I called again with no answer.

I don't need a bulletproof drag trans. Mine worked fine for two years and just wanted it fixed. I understand Mike is busy, but if hes that busy he should of told me "I'd like to take a look but at the time your going to be looking at a wait"....NOT tell me yes, then not answer my calls.

99 silver PM returned back to ya

Thank you!

Geeze! This isn't even my thread and I get hammered.

What's going to happen next year when you won't have me to kick around anymore? :whipped::secret:

I have to get back to work before the phone starts ringing! :nopity:

I can list all the good 4l60 builders I know of on one hand. They aren't on that list and I have seen every type of 4l60e fialure imaginable.

LOL. seriously you might get thrown under the bus more than anyone I know on this board. :gr_jest:

Sean who else is there, I was inquiring as his friend was referring him to someone I never heard of and I'm the one pulling the trans. Customer is a good shit and we want it done properly this time around. I've known Rich Bewick for years and still have one of his transmissions that will be put to the test again soon. Shoot me a PM if you don't wanna list them on here
