For playing some full-contact football. You know, like when you were younger. I don't know about you guys, but I haven't played padless football in many years, and I think it would be fun as hell to put a fun team together and kick the living shit out of each other, a few times this fall.

Would anyone else be game for this or are we all too old to be messing with that kiddie shit?

I guess FLAG football could always be an option, but how many of those games actually stay "contact-free?" :lol: :roll:

OK boys and girls. It's been a Stanford family tradition dating back to the early 60's to play football on Thanksgiving morning. It's gone from playing in my Grandfather's backyard to playing at Dearborn High's football field.

It's a friendly game of "Touch" football. Anyone interested is welcome. We start around 9am and finish up around Noon.

After the game we head out to the Rouge Park Bar <The only bar open in the area on Turkey Day>for a few drinks and laughs. Then with alittle holiday cheer<helps when dealing with the family dinner> we all go to our Turkey Day dinner.

It's not just FAMILY!!!! It's family and friends. My Uncles have hung up the cleats. It's just the 3rd gen Stanford's and our friends.

What's better then playing some football in the morning, stuffing yourself at dinner and going to bed early?

hopefully there are no kickoffs/field goals, those over grown giants would be blocking all of them... lol
