It's 580/556

They are making it available with an auto? I can see A lot of people using that powertrain warranty to the fullest.

I love it. The GT500 will have over 600hp. The pony wars are still alive and kicking! Fuck you Obama and Nancy! Stick your alternative fuel cars up your asses :)

Suspension control has 5 modes. Check out number 5! Essentially "drag race mode". Wow!

Honestly, GM needs this moral boost because all I saw at the USNationals last weekend in Stock and SS were Cobra Jets (tons) and Drag Pack Challengers. Not that the ZL1 would compete but at least this will acknowledge the weekend drag racers.

I still can't believe GM hasn't stepped in Stock and SS racing. I know it's not a money maker, but those racers buy other cars. I can tell you from the CJ's we've sold we also sold F-series and other vehicles to those owners.

Car sounds like it has a ton of technology built into it. Great auto trans, 2-step feature on the manual, drag mode suspension etc. Should be a sweet ride. I can't wait to see Ford's answer.

Being the owner of a 550HP GT500 I really want to know how they are going to put anymore power to the ground? Mine us useless in first gear and nobody makes a drag radial that will fit a 19x9.5" wheel. They can add all the power they want the GT-500 Needs a wider wheel and suspension mods.

The ZL1 Auto will be a drag racing beast for sure with a stall, cam and pulley swap.

5.8L and blower from what I've heard. You need some track wheels for that thing.

You might be able to squeeze the brand new MT 305/35-19 on that 9.5 but they ask for 10-12". I feel your plight as I have a '10 with more than stock hp. I went to an 18" to broaden tire choices. Still, the fact remains that the GT500 is tricky to launch at the track and has none of the fancy doo-dads to help assist in drag starts. The ZL1 is boasting it's track worthiness. You never heard that talk from Nissan with the GT-R. Quite the opposite.

I think its great GM has been breaking its estimated HP #'s for vehicles. The Regal GS was estimated to have 255 and its going to have 270.... This Camaro was supposed to have 550 and now it has 580! Truly awesome

GT500 needs traction management to really put the power down right. If they adopted something like the Ti-VCT system from the Coyote/Roadrunner motor, it could rival the PTM system on the ZL1/ZR1.
