Well I had a heck of a time trying to get the old pilot bearing out of my engine. I ended up using a dremel and a couple screwdrivers as chisels.
Basically, this is where I'm at.
You can tell in the second pic that the surface that the pilot bearing is pressed into is intact. I'm just worried about the marring of the lip/edge of that hole. You can also see some gouging deeper in the hole from a failed attempt with a tool.
I pretty much still have to put a new one in and throw the trans in. My question is, how long can I wait on a rebuild.
