IROC Camaro TPI

I have a TPI Camaro 1985 that is loading up real bad.It has a new motor that is only 3 weeks old.The car ran great for two weeks ex.power no miss.Last friday one block from home wouldnt take the gas and started loading.Replaced TPS and rebuilt fuel reg.as suggested.It will take the gas now but it kills a set of plugs in 2 minutes.I would be greatful for any help.I checked fuel pressure it is 39lbs at idle.Thanks in advance Rick
 
Coolant Temp Sensor ;) It might be telling the car that is it running cold needs to rich/lean the vehicle. :nod: O2 sensors still in the vehicle?
 
Yes it still has O2 sensor.Can it be cleaned as it is full of soot like the plugs? Are you talking about the CTS on the head or on the intake? Rick

I'm not sure which one is the right one. I had the same issue on my car. Stupid dual sensors. What code is being shown? Anything? I had this same problem on my tpi car before I tore it apart. I never figured out the issue :(

The knock sensor should be located by the starter on the side of the block. Make sure its plugged in. If it is the timing being off will also throw a false EST code.

Post up the codes you're getting to give us a better idea of what you're seeing.

CTS/ECT will be in the intake, at the front, the lower one IIRC(there will be 2, one is the cold start injector switch, one is the CTS/ECT)



and you sure it doesn't have a MAP sensor?
