IOS 6 is available

Only 3 things you need to worry about. a. the whole world is attempting to download it, so good luck getting it to download. b. It was breaking WiFi. No reports of iPad's breaking WiFi, just iPhones. Apple reports the problem is fixed, but just be aware that it's possibly a problem. c. Try not to update over the air if you don't have to. Mac forums are already chock full of people who did over the air updates and bricked their phones. For some a restore fixed their device, but since OTA only backs up to the cloud, they lost quite a bit of data. Others found that their device didn't come back up and are now having to buy new devices. It's not a wide spread issue, but most reports indicate that doing the update over the air has a higher chance of breaking than doing it via PC and iTunes. My iPad 2 went to an apple logo, but luckily a restore fixed it. I didn't lose anything, but others may not be so lucky. Any time for any device that you upgrade the OS, Jailbreak, Root, you should always do a backup of everything and fully expect to lose it and have to restore it.

I upgraded over wifi. No problems at all. So far the only differences I've noticed was the blue theme, maps, and the phone option when someone's calling. Speed seems to be the same for me.

I see a few differences, nothing to bad about it. Having the 4 it is nothing great as far as I am concerned. Can't say anything as far as battery life. (phone was gutted and rebuilt)

Either way, I ran it all day today, no noticeable change in battery life, maps app got worse for how I use it anyways, other than that nothing I use daily changed all that much.

Shared photo stream could end up being cool, but is essentially Facebook with just photos.

You're the second person to comment about the maps. I've not looked at it yet but I'm not expecting a lol out of it. It's hard to beat Google at the maps game.

Only problem I had was I lost all my bookmarked Internet sites. Other than that it works great. Updated through wifi.

They changed the way it displays traffic info which I didn't like and on top of that the traffic info isnt as accurate as googles. Yesterday hopping on 696 on the way home, maps showed nothing in the way of traffic lines for where I was at and as I pulled on I was bumper to bumper. Couldn't compare to google the same time since it's gone, but I never remember anything like that happening to me before.

Also, this isn't my experience, but I've heard searching for things you have to be much more exact now and it will sometimes give results that are states away.

I like how the phone automatically adjust brightness now. This morning it actually dimmed the display in my pitch black room.

The phone also will fade in when I hit the home button instead of just on.

Downloaded mine wirelessly. Works great, no issue.

I've never had a single issue updating software, ever. And I've had a lot of iPhones.

I have the original iPad and the 6 is not applicable. Sucks because now this thing is forgotten about. I want a new one but the practical guy in me says why it works fine.

Another small improvement i noticed is that you can choose different vibration alerts.

The do not disturb is pretty nice too.

I wish OS's would come stock with the ability to program in quite hours. So you can set your phone from 11 Pm till 5 am to not make any noise without manually doing it. I know that droid has it in some of the ROM's, but I wish it would come stock in the OS

I love google. I googled the problem I had with loosing all my bookmarks in safari. Turns out I wasn't the only one. The solution in case anyone else has the same problem is turn your phone off and restart it. I did it and everything is back.

I've noticed that iOS6 really shows of the retnia display more. All text looks MUCH sharper.
