Inventor 2013 - Visual Settings

Not sure if anyone here actually uses this software, but I am sure more than a couple is familiar with it.

Having a settings issue where extruded flat parts or sheet metal parts will show the black edge around the parts without an issue. But when I extrude a cylinder or do a sweep of a cylinder, it will not show the outline edge.

With that being said, this is only a visual issue since multiple cylinders blend together and you can not differentiate them from one another or their depth.

Just looking to see if anyone has ever had this issue and knows the setting to adjust or fix it. I am sure it's either super simple or completely impossible.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Been a while since I worked in Inventor, but I will try to help. I would check to make sure your viewing it "shaded with edges".

Also, a cylinder will not show an outline edge, only the faces will, like I have shown below. Some screen shots might help explain the issue you are having.

I still use 13 every day and what Justin said is what I would use, although I do have the edge shading turned off. We are switching to 2015 over the holidays. They say it is supposed to be faster because it can utilize multiple cores the processors now have. But, I have 15 installed on my computer at work and it seems about the same. My computer has 64Gb of ram, SSD and all of the other crap and Inventor still bogs down here at work. I had it installed on my home laptop and it worked much better. Probably because I don't have all of that extra network software installed...
