I was never a big fan of them but recently I've been using them more and I'm starting to like them :scared:

Been thinking about tryin them, Never seen them used before but my painters here use them all the time. You pretty happy with them Jason?

I just picked up the set up for my National Detroit. I have been using them for wet sanding headlights to knock down the fog.

I really bought it for wetsanding my next paint job. I'm gonna hit it with a DA and 1500 grit, then got over it with a hand block with 2000 and rub it. If I go bc/cc paint, I'm gonna put 3 coats of clear. If I go Dupont Ful-Thane Urethane single stage paint, I'm gonna lay 4-5 coats. I'm afraid I might go through as well, since I've never tried it on fresh paint. Any tips, besides....like "keep it moving" or "don't stay in one spot too long" I know all that. Any other things?

That's pretty much all I do. Seems to work well. I stay away from edges though 'cause I never know how much material is on the car to work with.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Like I said, not sure on which paint I'm using. The single stage is gonna save me a TON of money. I can get a gallon of it with all the mixers for 100 less than the chromabase gallon paint alone. Then I gotta buy the basemaker, the clear, the activator. rrrrr

Bringin this thread back to life, Finially picked one up the other day and I couldnt be happier. It really seems to extend paper life and just generally make sanding faster, easier, and more consistant. Any painter/prep guy that dosen't have one, I would suggest you go get one and try it asap.
