intake gasket problem

So my mating surfaces were sparkly clean and I was about to install the new intake gaskets on the lt1 when I noticed a problem. Three of the four plastic tabs on the gasket had come off inside of the head. Two of them are flush but one is recessed deep into the hole. I thought these things were supposed to stay on with the gasket because this has never happened to me, what a pita. Everything was running smoothly too. Any thoughts? I was thinking about gluing a small object that is similar in shape to each of them to try and pull them out. The only problem with that idea is that it would take a while for the glue to harden. help

Update I was able to use a skewer to pierce into it and pull the recessed one out of the drivers side. Still dealing with the two on the passenger side though. I don't want to keep piercing into it though because it might start to fall apart and then I'm really screwed.

why? if you are worried, put a shop vac by it and break it up, thats all i ever do

Got compressed air ? If so take a compressed air blower gun and aim it at the holes. Make sure to block off anything you don't want the bits to fly into.

Yea, I got them out by piercing into them and almost hooking them back out with the skewer. Gotta be creative sometimes I guess....haha. Gaskets are on, intake is bolted down, etc. I'll tie it up tomorrow. Thanks for the help Dave/Sean.
