intake gasket orientation (that rubber beat around the ports)

just wondering what way you guys like to install your intake manifold gaskets. I got a set of felpro's here and they got that rubber ring around all the ports and was wondering whether you guys like to mount that against the intake manifold or the head....is one better than the other?

alright thats the way i've always done it and just wanted to double check

I also use wetherstrip adhesive to glue the gasket to the head. Keeps them from getting sucked in.

i usually spray both sides of the intake gasket with hylomar and put a thin smear of rtv around the water passages. Never had any problems.

Better to use weatherstrip Adhesive "Yellow" then use Hylomar. Hylomar is not a glue it is a sealant. It will allow the intake gasket to move around.

i've never heard of that, can you just pick up that glue at any auto parts store?
