Insurance - ever heard of this policy?

I never had a problem with the bank when I put storage ins on the car.

I don't get the under 25 deal, that just sounds like some stipulation BS so they can suck money out of you. Start calling around.

One of my staff used to work at State Farm, .....

Is it the flirtious one????

Call John I just signed with him yesterday for my new boat. I am very happy with the service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bingo.. :) How did you guess?

But I got in late today and she is out on an appointment.. so when she gets back I post the answer I get from her.

They can't make you choose which vehicle is your primary...

No that's the thing, THEY are choosing which one is my primary and are telling me that my GXP can not be my recreational vehicle because it's newer than the Vibe.

That is BS. I had a 94 Cherokee that was my DD that I bought after my 99 Camaro when I was 22. And the Camaro is my recreational vehicle. Never had them tell me that the newer car HAD to be the DD. When I bought the Jeep for the winter I changed the Camaro to recreational vehicle status and never had an issue. I would talk to another State Farm office. My guy has never given me problems. And I also turn off the insurance while the car is in storage and never had a problem with that when I was still paying on the loan either. You are actually just turning off collision and leaving comprehensive on there.

Exactly what I am saying... I have a 97 Taurus as my DD and my SRT has had storage insurance on it for 3 years!!!!!!!!

Something isn't right...

One of my girls used to work at state farm (short lived.. went through there corporate training and stuck her with an agent she hated... didn't have a choice of what office to work at so she left)

She first asked me what year, make and model her other car was and I told her I didn't know but to use a 1995 Ford Taurus and she said... that no matter how/what the agent does, when it gets to underwriting they will put her on the new (higher rated) vehicle.

I know that is exactly how Progressive works. How the insurance biz seems to work is if us agents/customers abuse the capabilities we have they take it away. ie... Oh, every youthful driver you have qualifies for the "Good Student Discount"? ( 3.0 or better gpa) So now they require report cards/transcript from the customer. I am sure that it is the reason that is what happened at Progressive and State Farm on Youthful drivers and assigning vehicles. When I was at Nationwide Insurance they elminated even assigning a driver to a vehicle. They use "Driver averaging" (will not explain... don't want to make this longer then it already is) Nationwide even stopped asking how many miles do you drive a vehicle.

Statics show that kids get into accidents using those nice new cars more then those beaters they have "listed" as their primary vehicle.

Luckily for the time being here at Allstate I do have the capiblities of choosing which vehicle is your primary one and how many miles you drive it.
