Long story short....
Bought a 89 mustang GT pretty much for the engine..Was told its a .30 over 331 stroker with first gen Trickflow heads (Don't have Trickflow stamped on the heads) ect... ..Head gasket went (Oil in Antifreeze) so took it apart just to see it wasn't what I was told (Bone stock lower end 302 other than E303 cam :banghead: ) and the idiot used the wrong head gaskets which is why they were bad...
Once i got the heads off I took a valve out and guides/seals are bad so other than tossing $110.00 out the window in gaskets and having new guides put in,I put a set of ported 351W heads on it..Wanna save the heads because I plan on building a freash engine over winter so no point in putting them on for 3-4 months just to pull em back off again,O-Ring gaskets aren't cheap lol..

The car is a summer/daily driver and project for my 5 year old and I,been more than that because im fixing someone elses screw ups..Ive had a TON of H/C/I 302's and 351W's so now I would really like what I paid for in the first place which is a 331 stroker...Its not a race car and don't plan on it being one,just want a nice summer ride and maybe a few track passes.
Within the past month,I looked at all the options in my price range which is $1700.00 MAX..Could do another 351W but I already have a good block and everything I need..Just need to send it in and have it punched .30 over then bolt the lower end in...

So what are your thoughts on this lower end..Just a N/A summer car that might see the track twice a year..All my kid,wife and I do is drive to Stony Beach,drive to car shows and drive to friends houses..I do get on it every once in a while when im alone but nothing crazy..2nd/3rd gear pulls with a Camaro/Mustang ect.. as long as its safe and noone is around..Just trying to be honest about how I drive/treat the car so you have a better ideal if this kit will be good for me for what I want...Really want a mid 11 sec driver and I only plan on running normal street tires unless im able to make it to the track..
