INJECTOR QUESTION

I have a set of 36lb inj with an fmu for my s trim, can i go with some 42lbers? I have a 255 in line but my maf is cal. for 36's, when i get my tune(99.9% for sure Lidio) will they or can they re-cal my maf?

Actually they can tweak it in the software so that you don't even have to re-cal the maf. They just put a different number in the injector scalar (to make up the difference between 36 and 42) and make it run fine. At least that's how we used to do it back in the day.

With 42's, you probably won't need the FMU for a stock mod motor with boost.

What he said:wink: 42's should work well with that combo ditch the fmu.

Thanks guys, i will run some 42's,but will i need to send my maf back to pro-m to re cal for the 42's or can the tuner adjust for that?

They can adjust for that, like I said, if they put 22.16 (I think) in the injector scalar instead of 19, it will adjust fine. You normally leave 19 in there if the maf is cal'd for the injectors.

Actually now that I think about it, yours is a cobra so that value won't work, but maybe it would be 28 in the scalar. Basically you're offsetting the difference between the stock injector and the 42. At least that's how it worked on the fox cars....I'm forgetting this stuff because I've had FAST for a while now.

You shouldn't have to have the MAF recal'd.

Pro-M is now defunct but you can get ahold of anderson ford whever they air and it can goto Mass Air system up in flint which is the new company out of the ashes of pro-m.
