Yes I did contact the manufacture and being that the heater was built in 1974 most of the parts are discontinued and would require an "updated" part. In the end it would be better to get a different unit.

The heater I am selling in this thread came from another friend. It is not the type of heater I need for my application and I am listing it for him.

That sucks :( sorry I had know idea. Wonder if it could be converted to LP using a BBQ regulator?

No lol I had the same unit in LP that's why I bought that one when I saw it at the estate auction. It had a BBQ regulator on it an an on/off button

how big is this thing? Can it be used on an enclosed back porch?

I can measure it tomorrow. id imagine you could use it anywhere as long as you have decent clearances and you dont sit on it.

You could probably build a stand for it and turn off 1 or 2 of the burners to cut it down to 15,000 or 30,000 btus.

I used to use a LP version in my 2.5 garage and it worked great. It just sat on the cement floor. I did toast some carpet once that was about 1 foot away lol

The broken one is about 20" wide and 26" tall if I remember correctly

Thanks, I have a hot tub back there and the steam freezes on the ceiling and on all the glass panes. I want something I can run and keep the room above freezing. The big giant Patio heaters don't really cut it.
