Does anybody have problem with in-line pumps when its cold out?

I had a mr gasket pump on my 78 Impala since August,. Now thats its getting colder, it doesnt want to work until it warms up outside.

I swapped it for a Carter in-line yesterday hoping it was just the pump. Well im having the same problem. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem on a boat that I bought but I am pretty sure it is because the pump is mounted too far from the tank

I run an inline MSD on a transplanted Fuel injected Vortec SBC and never had an issue even when VERY cold out. Are you running it through a relay I hope? Sounds like a resistance problem in the circuitry/wiring connectors somewhere. Although kind of backwards for temp.

Actually come to think of it my brother in law did a diesel to tbi gas conversion on his work truck that uses an in line without issues all year also.

Mine is mounted a out 2 feet from the tank.
I have a 93 caprice setup the exact same way with no problems.

Im kinda lost on this atm, unless my relay is going bad.
