OK I'll ask..........any details on that trans setup?? It looks like it is clutchless.....he was not even stabbing the pedal to row those gears.

Larry can you clutchless powershift your faceplated trans?? OJ could you clutchless row your 5 speed......wasn't if pro-shifted??

Also, Larry, where did you get a camera mount for your car?? I have been trying to find one for over a year now. I can't find anything that would mount to my rollbar or anything.

It will be the only way I can get video of my runs because when I have others video tape me I never end up seeing the passes <<cough>>FAST93<<cough>>.

i made a camera mount for my car using a muffler clamp and welded a 1/4x20 bolt to it that would thread into the camera.

because faceplated transmissions are not syncronized and there is a large gap between the engagment teeth. this is a pic of one of my gears/hub

hey larry, you happy you went with the faceplated trans for a street car?

i was thinking about it for my next tranny. my shifts were slow as hell in my car because my clutch wasnt disengaging properly.

Well faceplating the trans is not going to fix that. You need to adjust the clutch so that it fully disengages.

drilling the hydraulic line helps a little. The clutch may or maynot need to shimmed. the new Tickperformance master cures the high rpm shifting issues if rest of the clutch is set up correctly

i know that the trans isnt going to fix the clutch issues, i was just saying that was why my shifts were so slow. that clutch already took a shit now.

stock clutch?

no, it was a clutchmaster stage 3, and i wont reccomend it to anybody, its really stiff. it was ok on the stock motor, but i didnt like the 402 to much, it only lasted about 7-8k miles

if i was a real man, i would go faceplated tranny with the mcleod soft loc. you ever see joe huneycutts 8.69 pass?

but i like my car as a street car
