Impressive numbers from the 2015 Mustang I4 EcoBoost, and Mustang Gt

Nice expensive lightweight drag wheels on the one

If you watch the video of the silver one, the video switches between skinnies up front and oe wheels up front, probably just a few runs edited together

Ya think? Did you really just say probably? Hard to get anything obvious past a mopar guy! .

Probably no interior seats

Probably no exhaust just noticed chris posted that

Who cares how they run them. All the magazines will compare the cars stock.
At least the manufacturer is recognizing that people actually race their cars.
Which most people will modify after it's first trip to the drag strip, some before that.
I don't have a dog in the pony car wars. Pick you like and throw money at it. Speed is an
exponent of money.... Any car can be fast with enough money, even a Granada.

Impressive, but I want to see what they do showroom stock, not what they do after a tech plays with them.
Agree.. Put all that weight back in the car, de-tune it, put street tires back on it and add 3 seconds (?) on those numbers.......

Ecoboost 15.56
All natural 14.77
Super charged 13.97

Not even close on the NA... In 2011, I drove from the dealership to Livernois, from Livernois to the track. I got to Milan with 85 miles on the odometer and ran 13.1 @ 107 100% stock. Since it still had a full tank of 87 octane, we flashed it with a mild tune at the track and it ran 12.78 @ 111. A week later, we tuned it with 93 octane, installed a catback and drag radials with skinnies up front and it ran 12.07 @ 116 mph. The 5.0 responds well to mods. We added mods slowly and it got quicker and quicker. Eventually, it went 10's NA and I won the MM&FF NA 5.0L shootout The car had the rear seat removed, but did have a passenger seat and was full weight minus wheels/tires.

I never thought I'd say this, but damn that 4 banger was pretty awesome. I thought the gap between the 2.3 and 5.0 would be greater. When it comes down to it, who cares whether it's ford, gm, mopar, we are all benefiting from the modern hp wars going on, keep it coming. I'd drive any of them, mustang, camaro, corvette, hellcat, etc.

Seems pretty reasonable for the NA 5.0 car. They put headers, probably no cats, tune, DR's, and a bunch of bolt-ons and knocked a second off the 1/4 mile time. It is really tough to compare 1/4 mile times without seeing the actual timeslip.

I am actually surprised at the 107 MPH in the second video, I would expect a little higher.

Here are my slips...

100% stock

stock with only mild 87 octane tune - same day

Added 93 octane fuel, updated tune, catback, drag radials and skinnies

Added 4.10 gear... Still stock airbox and 100% stock suspension

Added headers

Added CNC heads (stock cams), BOSS intake, CAI, converter, Ford Racing Shocks and Struts

I was talking about the Ford video - it would have been nice to see the before and after and the whole timeslip.

But thank you for posting! Pretty awesome! It is pretty cool seeing the progression. That is crazy that you pick up 4 mph from a tune in the first and second timeslip! That is some good horsepower gain. Or maybe it is just revving higher? Impressive no matter what.

I wish every time I went to the track I was able to shave .4 seconds, and pick up 4 mph on my 1/4 mile every hour and twenty minutes.
