I'm putting this here. WTF this is messed up!!!

That is messed up! I have too much love for animals to even go hunting....let alone doing this craziness. I dont have the stomach or balls to go kill for "fun"!

Personally, i see it being a worse type of hunting. If you shot a deer....and didnt kill it, you'd be torturing it with pain. What if its able to run away...then it has to live with that wound. The way they did it causes a big concern to me for their state of mind....but in terms of the animals life, this killed them and hunting kills them. So is there that big of difference?

Not excusing this act by ANY means, i just think both are cruel, yet 1 "party" gets tortured and the other goes home to celebrate a successful hunting trip? If these guys would have kept the deer they tortured/killed....would it then be ok?

****Never been close with any hunters so maybe you guys can shed some light on this topic for me!

im with you, i can never hunt, i have lots of guns, but will never shoot a poor animal for fun or thrill.

Cool

I was a bit worried like i'd be the only one to feel this way. I saw 10+ post about how the people who did this should be punished in every way imaginable and i just wonder how many of them hunt themselves. There is definitely a need to be worried about the state of mind of someone who tortures someone or something else, but u also have to look at the end result: a dead animal in each case.

Not saying hunters need to be punished since obviously its legal and there are hunting seasons. I just dont think our focus should be taking away these people's driver's licence, torturing them in return, or throwing them in jail. I think the mental issue within them needs to be addressed. Besides...when has jail time really helped ANY criminal? lol

The main difference is that when people hunt they come back with food. These people just killed the animals for no other reason than to kill them.

So like i said, you guys would have no problem if after doing all this, they tied the animals up, put them on top of their car and took them home for dinner right?

^I dont think that is the correct way to kill an animal. If you think that hunting is bad then you better eat vegtables. You think the way they shoot and kill a deer is bad or you think it's better to move a bunch of cows into slaughter house? I'm not a hunter, or ever will be.

Um, no....I don't think there is a "snowmobile season" for deer hunting. Completely different frame of mind, too. I don't know of any hunter that goes out into the woods just because they get to kill something.

And for the record, I'm not a hunter either.

Whoa simmer down. Im not AGAINST animals being food....im not AGAINST hunting.....i just know im not the man to do that particular job.

Im just questioning those that say hunting is ok, yet wanna punish these guys in every way imaginable....a hunter and these guys are both killing animals. A hunter can wound an animal....and therefore would torture it with pain if they dont kill them. Its not like these animals that are hunted experience no pain when u kill them "properly"....."killing properly" just sounds funny to me any lol.

I hope u see what im trying to say....i get the feeling that hunters get a high 5 and these guys get a burn out on their face. These crazy actions are worse than hunting but the concern should be the humans mental health...not that 6 deer died.

Very true, but if u hit a deer with a snowmobile once and killed it...or even twice....is that much different than using a shotgun/rifle/etc and having to shoot it 1,2,3 or 4 times?

No doubt should the frame of mind of these individuals be under a huge review....

But both them and hunters go into the woods to kill. Thats all im saying.

I'm simmered on low heat. Look at it this way. If I was going to kill you or injure you. Would you rather be 'injured' by a bullet wound or your whole body being first hit, then sat on top of by a 500+lb machine, and a approx 200lb+ guy, then WOT with a studded track? :thinkerg:

You're missing my point. Im not trying to say one way is ok and the other isnt. BOTH are pretty messed up and BOTH will result in a death. A deer could be shot, injured, escape the hunter then be forced to learn how to survive with a injury and possible a bullet still in their body....and who knows, maybe they will get into a fight or something and be killed later.

All im saying is that you cant say these guys deserve this:

People like this should just be killed. No questions asked... sick sick people.

Then turn around and give a guy a high five for takin out 3 deer with his rifle. Or taking 2 out and hitting/injurying a 3rd.

Do these people deserve death or extreme punishment? No. Thats not going to help anything, they need a mental exam/treatment IMO. The reason they should be in trouble is their decisions to be so messy with it for no apparent reason....not because actual animals are dead. I guess i just dont agree that a human should die or be imprisoned for any substantial amount of time for torturing animals when a hunter can go shoot and kill at free will. Since when is being shot a "preferred" way to die?

But i have heard that serial killers and such start with animals...but tell me this. Throw the guy in prison for 20 years...let him out...and he'll be the same, if not much much worse. And no way can u say someone deserves death for this type of act.

I bet a debate on if the government should torture people to get answers would be a big can of worms here lol!

If you hunt to survive, AKA hunt to eat the deer, that is 100% different than herding and then running down the deer, stopping on their bodies and then gunning it to rip their flesh off their body. That is just sick.

No jail, no exam. Death.

Exactly as you said, this is how the sicko's of our world start, and again as you said, send them to jail for 20 years and they come back worse. People like this are "sick" in the head. They dont understand that others look at them as a "sick" person. Normal people with a conscious don't do stuff like that.

Thats just my opinion, many others, even close friends have different views. I just see these humans as dispicable beings that plague this earth. (And fill the jails which costs me and all of us lots and lots of money.)

I know farmers that have block permits, hunters can hunt deer year round and take as many as possible.

They are DESTROYING crops.

basically the deer are a nuissance and the farmers want them dead regardless how.

when I was younger I ran over a rabbit with a snowmobile, but not on purpose, it darted out in front of me and got chewed up by the track studs

Im not saying i support sending them to jail for 20 years. My first instinct is to help them....if there is no cure for this "sickness" then i am at a loss for what to do with them.

And yes, legal hunting is for food and it does control population. Im not saying i disagree with hunting at all, i just said i dont do it personally.

All im saying is killing a deer....is killing a deer. A death is a death. If deer hunting in this area is legal....then these guys did the same thing in the big picture that hunters would do. A question of why someone chose to do this could help us to prevent or to catch people with this sickness in the future. Simply killing them off does nothing positive for "society"....we will still be blind to the next serial killer who tortured cats and dogs in his basement that were abandoned that no one knew abotu and then killed people....and THEN we finally found out.

If u look at it like its a sickness....then i think society should put effort into helping them.

I understand your perspective bud and we all will have an opinion, thats the purpose of this open forum, to talk, discuss and learn!

Which is why i said penalty shouldnt come because they tortured or killed deer.....they should be sat down and put through multiple tests. Lets face it, no human being is going to be killed for doing something to animals. But saying they deserve the book to be thrown at them is only going to waste tax dollars while they sit in a cell and develop a worse sickness....one that probably makes them angry at humans for putting them in jail to begin with.

I hate when animals run out in front of me....especially things like cats, rabbits, dogs. I feel so bad then they get it. Squirrels too.

Im a sucker for animals lol
