Ideas for wiring

I am getting ready to redo some wiring in one of my vehicles and would like some opinions.

I currently have a 1951 F1 with a fresh DOCH 4.6, Ron Francis standalone harness and ECU. That covers all of my driving electronics.

The truck was originally a 6 volt system with cloth wrapped wires that are no longer any good. I put new gauges in it and need to wire the rest of the truck up.

I dont want to use a stock replacement harness due to cost and the fact that I will have to hack it up.

I need to run wires to:

Headlights/tail lights/parking lights

Ignition switch

Blower motor

Radio

Wipers

I have the batter mounted in the cab behind the driver seat (going with an AGM battery) and I have the PCM and standalone fuse block mounted behind the passanger side seat.

My plan of attack is to run a 12V wire to a secondary fuse block and locate it under the dash (there is VERY little room due to the size of the cab) then run the wires to the needed switches and relays where needed.

Do you guys have any recommendations as to what fuse blocks would be good to use or what circuits you would branch together? Im not looking to get crazy with budget but I am open minded

I just built some relay boards and it seemed to work ok. I'm by no means a wiring expert so they're aren't perfect but much better than the mess I had previously. I was too cheap to buy multiple wire colors so it's a lot of red.

Board for nitrous relays to work with the trans brake, wp and fan, mounted this under the dash on the back side of where the radio would go if I had one.(fox body)

Call Downriver Motorsport Wiring. The whole system will be spec'd well and every connection will be crimped/soldered/shrink wrapped. He'll check over your swap harness and make sure it's integrated correctly.

Sounds like a nice project!

I want to make it myself but I found this:

So I will probably go that route. I could replicate that power dist box for cheaper but only about $20 cheaper

Another question:

With the battery in the cab I will need to run some power/ground cables.

What do you guys recommend for routing/location?

I was thinking about running a power cable from the positive to the starter and from the alternator to the starter lug possibly. For the ground I was planning on running from batt - to the frame and from the frame to the engine block. I will have ground straps for the body as well. I have never done a battery relocation so any input is appreciated.
