I posted pics and story about this car awhile back. Being my dads and he died yada yada yada. Well I've decided to sell it. See my dilemma is I don't want to give it away, but I really want it gone. Anybody have any idea what this car might be worth. It's an 86 Z-24 Cavalier, 14,000 original miles. This car was OVERtaken care of. Any ideas/help would be appreciated. Thanks Eddie..

Damn that car is clean! IMO a new Cavalier used to sell for 15K...I think it could be worth at least half of that..What kinda gauge is that under the dash...If you need help listing it on Ebay drop me a PM.

If I were going to sell it, I would take everything aftermarket off, bring it back to a 100% showroom condition, take 20-30 pics of it from every angle, then put it on ebay with at least a 5k reserve. I think it would be worth it because of the milage, condition and it is the rare hatch back model. It may not be a classic, but it will have "freak" value because of it's condition and options.

theres nothing aftermarket on it, but a kill switch. if he would actually try and sell it, instead of talking about it, he probably could've over on the j-body sites. this car is ridicolously < --- spell check clean, it looks weird cause its not liek its a hi-performance car, or even something that someone would really hold onto and not drive for this many years. good luck with the sale, it's taking up part of the basketball court..... :pow:

Dude :wtf: I have NEVER seen one of those. Awesome, keep it and sell it at Barrett Jackson in like 10 years :secret:

Definitly keep it, for a while at least. Kelly Blue book says it's only worth 1695.00 retail and trade-in is 750.00

That's why I said keep it. I was just wondering what they were saying it was worth. I never use them as a guide to buy a car. What do you think it's worth???

Like I said, that is probably the only car like that in the world in that shape, and someone would pay good coin for it, you just have to find them.

And about the aftermarket stuff, I was refering to the stickers, fog lamps and headlight covers. But if they were bought over the GM parts counter, or dealer installed, they shouldn't hurt the value.

Also, if you had it appraised, you should put storage insurance on it (if you don't already) for it's appraised value.

Yeah I have it insured fire, theft. I am going to put it up on Epay in the coming week. Honestly i hope to sell it to someone who would take care of it like a showcar like my dad did, not someone to drive it everyday because it gets awesome gas milege you know.
