I think it needs a bigger blower lol

this may be an ignorant question, and not to be nosy, but what does he do for a living? that car is awesome, sucked when he ventilated the block up here that one night.....
 
Looks nice, I'm looking for something really close to that for my convertible. What would you think the stock rear end could take?

You can blow the ass end out of those cars bone stock. All it needs is a little wheel hop.

a close friend of mine joe deefer has had his 03 cobra sence late 02 the car has 12,000 miles of 20psi of kenne bell boost, and a 125 hit of spray the car makes around 660-670hp and 750-760 ft/lbs on spray STOCK IRS! the car goes 10's for years and if any of you ever cruise woodward you have seen the car (silver 03 cobra with a big alternative sticker in the back window) he street races the car on a regular basis in the summer on a 315/17 bfg drag radial

My point is that all it takes is wheel hop. The level of power you make is independant of "if it will blow".

Remember at Milan this fall when Lid wrecked, the black 04 that was sitting in front of the stands. I talked to him before he went up to get in line, the car only had a catback and filter kit (~425 to the tires), it was his first time back to the track since the last time he broke a halfshaft. Next thing we hear over the PA system is "Mustang in the far lane seems to be having a problem"

Sure enough......snapped another half shaft. Needless to say I tried to talk him into a solid.

that's cool... I've seen cobra's with bolt on's brake half shaft's when wheel hop occurs.. I have a lot of friends with big power 03-04's that have never had problems I don't know if it's the tire they run or what....

Joe's car if on a good preped street with a good burn out will jerk the left front tire about 4" off the ground with his factory rear IRS... The car is one of the best hooking cars I have ever seen on the street and I think the IRS contributes to that.

:roll: Ok, say 30 feet from the finish line for you, and I start at the finish line, on foot. I have to run the 1/4 mile, get in my truck, and still beat you across the line. :lol:
