I stared down Tito Ortiz in Vegas!!

I met him at the Hooters hotel this past Saturday. He was cool, we shot the shit for 30 seconds and he signed two photos with:

Matt
You're Next!!
Tito Ortiz.

He asked how I wanted the professional photo taken. I said "Lets do a stare down." Man....I had a bad look on my face until he leaned in with his bad look and almost bumped my forehead...:lol: He backed off for the picture and that's when I smirked. I couldn't believe Tito and I were staring each other down with fists up. I couldn't help it...it was pretty damn intimidating. :lol:

HAHA...that's what my Dad said (jokingly) My Dad and my girlfriend go "He is taller and heavier, but you guys have the same butt chins..."lol"

I'm 6'1" with shoes so he's about 6'3" with shoes. I'm 195, and I bet right now he's 235lbs easy. He did just have back surgery, so he possibly could be down to 220-225lbs, but regardless he was a big guy. Not huge, but big.

He was cool though, he shook my hand a few times and he complimented my shirt, saying he has not seen that one all day, then asked what my favorite fight of his was. I'm glad he was cool, because I've met people I've admired for years and they were dicks...and that sucked.

My sister used to live across the street from him. He threw some serious parties over there. Saw Dennis Rodman and a bunch of other recognizable people. Too bad I just didn't walk over there. But I agree he is a big guy.

He is done with the UFC. His public relation guy/manager said announced to us before Tito showed up that he will NOT sign any UFC merchandise, shirts, any sponsers of the UFC's stuff anything. It was cool because about 10 people in front of me got out of line!! :lol: He keeps saying he's gonna fight again, but he'll have to recover from back surgery first.

October 10, 2006 Ken Shamrock 3. I should have worn that eent shirt, but I chose my blue one instead. He gave Ken a severe beating the 2nd and 3rd fights. Ken didn't even know he was knocked out. He got up like :WTF:

That would have been sweet. Once they all got wasted, they prolly wouldn't even have noticed that you just walked in.

Good to know he's a decent guy, like you said it sucks to idolize someone and have them turn out to be a dick.
 
Thanks guys. Yeah, he was cool, even when he walked by to get to where he had to go, he was all smiles. He actually looked happy to see eveyrbody. I figured he was gonna be all serious, but he wasn't.
