I really feel for you guys that have a LT1 in Firebird

Well this was my first time screwing with a LT1 in a 94 Formula I had to do plugs wires and a opti on it.
What a piss pour set up
I can say I will never ever own one of those.

Thats all :)

LS1 in a 94 Formula ... with an opti spark??? I think you mean LT1...

It is bad, but once you do it it is much easier the second time....after two or three times you can do them all pretty quickly.

I sold my '95 Z28 with 92k miles on it because I didn't want to have to change the plugs or the opti. I think Mike did both of them when he put headers on the car the weekend after he bought it.

LS1 is way better than LT1 when it comes to changing all that stuff. Well that and there's no Opti on the LS1. ;) They are easy once you learn all the tricks to make it go faster.

If you're not a good wrencher I can see how it'd be difficult. I have no problem doing plugs and wires, and the opti is an incredibly simple swap.

The only thing that sucks is you have to pull the water pump, meaning you have to buy coolant.

And for the record, I did the over the valve cover setup, and it makes wires so much easier. No routing around the manifolds.

Which Harness did you go with? did you stick get one that adapts it to run on the LT1 computer, or the LS1 computer swap?

Also, this is an easy job after the first time......i can do it in about an 2 hours with a hoist, little longer in the driveway.
