I quess I should introduce myself

Welcome to the Club. IF you need help with the backfiring problem drop me a line anytime. I would tell you to check base timming first or perhaps for vacum leaks.

Hey guys , sorry for making my first post in the garage sale section, now about myself I live in waterford with my wife and 2 kids im a mechanic for oakland county ,ive had mustangs on and off for the last 15yrs
I currently own 2 the first is a 1991 mustang gt that i built from the ground up i bought for a $1000 so you can imagine what it looked like but now i would say is a pretty dam nice car. I just finished the engine had all the lower end done @ lsm here in waterford balancing line honing etc. then i installed a comp cam and windsor jr heads holley systemax intake 42lb injectors finished of with a s trim 12lbs had it tuned a nelsons performance but I might take it to sean at cars, already backfired once so im a little freaked out but it put down 473rwhp.my second car is my new project a 85 mecury capri T top RS with a full sallen ground effects kit with a built 306 so i was told but it seems to be pretty dam strong it is a texas car the underneath has never seen a jack by the looks of it, I have it in full primer right now and just have to do the final blocking . Im out of money right now so its on hold. thats all for now

Im very good freinds with Dave and Mike @ nelsons thats why i went to him I also do work for him every once inawhile all of his welding infact,ya we have talked and he said to bring it back in the spring so he can tune on the road. I live in the neighborhood behind his shop

but I might take it to sean at cars,

Welcome.

BTW, I would NOT take my car to Sean @ CARS if I were you...

joking... Mine's there now. He has one stingy dyno, though. If you are into racing HP numbers, I would go somewhere else.

Dan
