I Phone VS Samsung

I love Samsung phones. I have a Note 2 and it's been rock solid and made me very happy. I use the shit out of it and download a bunch of stuff all the time. I'd defiantly get another Samsung phone when my update is available.

The 50% larger battery helps. I'd hate to see that thing with your typical 2000maH battery

Yeah, free up front but the bill might be $100+ per month . Grab a Nexus 5 for $350 and grab a GoPhone plan from AT&T for $60 per month. You won't be bound to any carrier, plus you'll be saving close to $500 per year... the cost of 2 S4's over a 2 year contract. You could take the savings and buy a couple more unlocked phones and save even more on a prepaid family plan.

Except that the Nexus 5 isn't on Verizon yet, that and it's got a small screen ;)

It won't ever be on Verizon, they want too much control over the phone. Verizon is like Barack Obama...many people like him, hes shady, and wants control over everything ;).

I have the HTC One and my only complaint is that the camera SUCKS! I don't use the camera much, but when I do it aggravates the piss out of me. LOL

Thanks for the input guys. I am going to definitely look into the Nexus as well. I use my phone for everything. I use the camera a ton for pictures of my son so having a good camera is important to me. I am on the internet alot and use to for basically everything. Battery life and camera quality is important to me. Just have had a bunch of minor issues with my I Phone since the IOS7 update, that is why I was shopping outside of Apple along with having the 5S as a option. Its pretty important that I have a phone that does not shut off by itself and pretty important that I have a phone that the battery doesn't go from 45% to 1% while just sitting there. Seems like my 4S was great until the IOS7 update and then all the issues started.

How is the camera quality on the Nexus. I was happy with the quality of the 4S until the update. Now the phone is so slow that it takes literally 2 seconds to snap a picture from the time I press the button. Alot of times my shot is already lost by that time.

The Nexus 5 camera is very nice, and supports interchangeable lenses by means of a magnetic lens mount. It takes great low light pics, has image stabilization, and a bunch of other neat features. The camera on my Nexus 4 is decent, but the Nexus 5 camera is worlds better.

It works fine unless there's not much light. The most common complaint is the purple tint low light images get.

If you are still using a 4S it more than likely just needs a new battery, pretty simple fix.

Will the new battery help the phone shutting off on its own, being slow, missing calls, and take forever to use?? lol

Just the the part about the phone shutting off on its own, the rest can by remedied by dumping Sprint :)

I love the phone threads on motown..........

Every phone has awesome batteries and are flawless!

Except when I own the exact same phone!

Battery life blows and Nothing but bullshit problems. The only thing good about the Samsung is the screen size. As soon as Apple has a phone with a bigger screen, I'm buying.

Apple care is awesome. Samsung can once again suck a fucking dick.

Any Samsung slappys wanna comment on the s4 active LIE about being water proof? I fell for the lie, the phone keeps screwing up. So I asked that when it gets warrantied, I want a reg s4 instead..... Nope! Sorry consumer! Your stuck with our lie!

I wanted a water proof phone. So the plan was to use a lifeproof on the s4.

Kies can suck a dick too.

Yeah man thats seriously fucked. I saw the commercials and advertisements as well...damn near every one of them touted how durable and "waterproof" the Active was supposed to be. The worst part is, the never tried to make things right and offer some sort of compensation to those that bought into it, let alone market its true capabilities instead of things they think it can do.

The problem is that no carrier works around here with great coverage like Verizon. If I wanted shitty service and a great phone, I'd switch.

Do you have ATT? I agree that it's shitty advertising, though the warranty does say outright it doesn't cover water damage.

Yeah that's what Google searches show, but I have more issue than that.

Look at this picture and critique what I may have done wrong. This is the fourth picture I took attempting to get a good picture.

Not one thing is in focus of you ask me.

Lol... This was the answer I was looking for...

Lol... I hear a lot of people complaining about sprint. I am going to be 100% honest. Sprints customers service sucks worse then I have experienced. The issues with missing call was because my phone turned off by itself and then miss important calls. I need my phone for work and missing a call is unacceptable for my job. I have really never had any service issues with sprint service as of right now lol. The issues I have had seemed to be with the phone itself and started to be the worst after the IOS7 upgrade. I honestly don't think the upgrade was designed for older phones.

Plus it's hard for me to beat what I pay for my bill. Like I said before, I have never really had any issues with Sprint except the customer service. If I could get a provider that offered the se coverage (unlimited everything) for what I pay now I would make the switch.
