I need to find a Balance

Looking for a reputable machine shop that can do a good job balancing my internals on an early small block chevy. Also, since I'm asking questions, I have a friend of a friend that has a set of retro fit roller cam lifters for my smallblock that I want to buy. But the intakes are offset. What is this for, and if I don't need it, can I run them anyway without any problems?

I know of sevral shops that can balance a rotating assembly. Whats the offset of the lifter ?
