Yeah, we need pics, but what do you think isnt right. There isnt much to an 8.50 cert. I have one and its pretty straight forward. Eric L

Well for one it not tied into the rear of the car I had the rear tire hole removed and the rear bars are just tacked to the to the cover they made for the spare tire near the tail lights
also there is about 5.5 inches from my top bars to the roof which puts in really low in the car
there is about a inch difference in heigth on the top bars that tie into the halo

I will get some pics up

If the helemet is above the halo bar its a automatic fial.I'd need to see pictures of the welds, fitement, cage plates etc to really be able to help you anymore then that.

Bummer, My helmet is tucked against the headliner in just about any car

Lower the seat. Seriously if a tech inspector saw that at the track they could D Q you for it.

They rarely check but its always good to know stuff like that JIC.

Rules actually makes sense.

Always remeber. Alot of the rule books on cage creation etc are written in blood.

Damn Sean thats kind of a creepy yet very true way to put it!

Lets look at blowproof bellhousings and SFI certs on flywheels. Transblankets and exlposion shield.

Alot of drivers lost limbs and some even died from the explosion of clutchs, converter etc.

Same applys to blower guards and the like.

Why we have chromoly material requirements is totally beyond me.

sorry for the crappy pics but you get the idea, un even bars and all I couldnt get a good pic of the rear where its just tacked into the spare tire cover they made
let me know what you guys think

found one of the rear its just tacked back near the tail lights

Is that cage chromoly ? If so I'd have a very good welder/chassis builder look it over for the cert. Skinny Kid Race Cars in Walled lake I belive can cert a cage for you. I would give them a call and see if they could at least look it over for you. They will know pretty fast wether or not it will pass.

I've seen this cage in person. Dave is right. It's jacked up. Too bad 'cuz the rest of the car is bad ass. Good luck Dave.
